The Fentanyl Epidemic - what Americans are saying about the emerging crisis

Written by Noam Rabinovich | May 8, 2022 4:00:00 AM

In November 2021, a grim milestone was reached in the United States, as more than 100,000 people died over a 12-month period from fatal drug overdoses for the first time in the nation’s history. A major factor in this tragic surge was Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that has increasingly been laced into illegal drugs, making its presence felt in a vast majority of these overdose deaths. The alarming rise in Fentanyl-related fatalities has brought this issue to the forefront of public health and safety concerns.

Local governments, health professionals, and police departments across the country are increasingly viewing Fentanyl as a top priority.
